The Trustees would like to assure all members that Mercer, the scheme administrators, will be processing the pension payroll and paying pensions as usual. Mercer are fully set up for remote working and these processes will continue without interruption. Should staff shortages occur due to the virus then certain activities will be prioritised, to include handling death cases, processing retirements at and close to normal retirement age and ill-health retirements.

The Trustees would also add that the pension plan investments are very well diversified and designed to minimise the impact of short term volatility.

The Trustees will be reviewing the investment strategy on an ongoing basis throughout this crisis
